Firefighters Tackle Blaze In Deerfield Road Home

DEERFIELD, IL — Firefighters extinguished a fire in an empty house in Deerfield Friday. No one was injured, and the cause of the blaze remains under investigation, according to fire officials.

Around 6:45 p.m., crews at the Deerfield Bannockburn Fire Protection District got a call of a fire in a coach house in the 500 block of Deerfield Road, according to Deputy Chief Ray Larson.

No one was home at the time of the fire, Larson said, and firefighters were able to get the blaze under control by about 7 p.m.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation, he said.
