Former Chicago Bear Highlights “Hunger Hero” Annual Luncheon
Community invited to join Hunger Resource Network supporters at Chevy Chase Country Club on Wednesday, May 7 at Chevy Chase Country Club

Area residents are invited to attend the upcoming “Hunger Hero” Luncheon, hosted by Hunger Resource Network (HRN), Northbrook, this year featuring keynote speaker Brent Novoselsky, a philanthropist and former Chicago Bear and Minnesota Viking.
The event will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Chevy Chase Country Club, Wheeling, IL. Tickets are available for purchase at $65.00 each or $600 per table of 10; donations and sponsorships are greatly appreciated.

Keynote speaker Brent Novoselsky, a former Chicago Bear and Minnesota Viking, is a philanthropist and local hunger hero who attended Niles North High School. A Buffalo Grove resident, Novoselsky will entertain and inspire luncheon attendees with the story of his career and how he came to understand the importance of ‘giving back.”
In addition, the luncheon will honor corporate “Hunger Hero” VISOgraphic, owned by Bob Dahlke Jr. and family. Dahlke, a Northbrook resident, is being recognized for his family’s generosity and continued support of Hunger Resource Network.

About Hunger Resource Network: Poultry to Pantries Delivery Day
HRN is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to working in partnership with corporations, organizations and individuals who share a commitment to feed the hungry. Its mission is to aid in the alleviation of hunger by helping meet the needs of food pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters. There are dozens of businesses and foundations who are HRN benefactors.
On Poultry to Pantries Delivery Day, 80 tons of frozen chicken are distributed to service agencies. In the last 18 months, HRN distributed a record amount of 440,000 lbs. of chicken to nearly 100 food pantries, shelters, and soup kitchens throughout the Chicagoland area during Poultry to Pantries Delivery Day (three events).
Poultry to Pantries Delivery Day is held twice a year in Spring and Fall. Since 2009 more than 4.6 million lbs. of food has been distributed to Chicagoland neighbors in need. The most recent event was held on Saturday, April 5 at HRN headquarters in Northbrook, IL.
