Giving Tuesday Pretty Nail Polish Drive and Food Drive Will Benefit West Deerfield Township Food Pantry

Deerfield, Illinois, November 25, 2015 - On Giving Tuesday Renu Day Spa will kick off a Pretty Nail Polish Drive and Food Drive to benefit West Deerfield Township Food Pantry. The nail polish drive and food drive runs Tuesday, December 1 until Friday, December 18, 2015. The goal of the West Deerfield Township Food Pantry is to alleviate food insecurity in West Deerfield Township with help from the community. Non-perishables, household cleaning products and personal care items can be dropped off at Renu Day Spa, 617 Central, Deerfield, Illinois, 60015.

“For people who are struggling to feed their families nail polish is not something they can buy for themselves.” said Alyson Feiger, West Deerfield Township Supervisor. “So this will be especially nice because it is something that will make them feel good. Sometimes a little gesture like this will really touch people.” The pantry is wonderful for supporting neighbors and boosting confidence. In addition to providing the basics the pantry also provides personal care items. In cooperation with other agencies and partners The West Deerfield Food Pantry connects less-fortunate residents to many different resources, including but not limited to nutritional support, financial assistance, health care, housing, medical care, and family counseling. The pantry is often a gateway to many other services that low-income individuals and families access after they are made aware of them.

Areas Serviced

The Deerfield Township service area includes all of Bannockburn, most of Deerfield, and portions of western Lake Forest, Highland Park and Riverwoods. Even here are on the North Shore there are families who could use extra assistance.

Pretty Nail Polish Drive and Food Drive

Anna Pamula, Owner, Renu Day Spa, will donate 1 bottle of nail polish for every item brought in, up to 50 bottles. Every client who donates one of the items below can get 30% off all products including 100% Certified Organic Oils and Lotions.

Anna is asking clients to bring in food items to the spa and fill up the holiday boxes. “Unfortunately some people in our communities are a little down on their luck and need help feeding their families. We hope the food donations and the nail polish make a difference. Woman everywhere want to look festive and beautiful around the holidays regardless of their economic situation. We all love a little pampering once in awhile,” says Anna. “The more you give the more you receive, create good karma--mitzvah for you and your family.”
