Hellenic American Academy Earns Top Language School Recognition

DEERFIELD, IL — Hellenic American Academy has been recognized by Education Insider Magazine as a Top Language Private Day School. This honor acknowledges the Academy's commitment to academic excellence, cultural heritage, and community values.

The honor comes as the Village of Deerfield prepares to recognize the Greek language formally. Mayor Daniel C. Shapiro will issue a proclamation declaring Greek Language Day on Feb. 9. This will occur during a special community event hosted by Hellenic American Academy.

"Hellenic American Academy has been a pillar of Greek language education and cultural preservation not only in Deerfield, but nationally," Shapiro said.

The mayor added that the proclamation recognizes the school's legacy and the vibrant Greek-American community. This community continues to enrich the village and the greater Chicago area, according to Shapiro.
