As part of the global Toastmasters International organization, District 30 empowers people to build confidence, strengthen communication, and develop leadership skills in a supportive, hands-on environment. Members don’t just study communication and leadership concepts—they actively practice them through structured meetings, real-time feedback, and leadership opportunities that mirror real-world challenges. From first-time speakers finding their voice to experienced professionals refining their executive presence, District 30 provides a space where growth is both intentional and measurable. Beyond individual development, District 30 fosters strong community connections. Membership is open to adults 18 and older. Youth Leadership programs are periodically offered for those under 18.

The Deerfield High School boys volleyball team defeated Barrington Friday night 25-15, 22-25, 26-24. The win advances the team further than they've ever gone before, to the sectional title round Tuesday. A win there sends the team to the state tournament next weekend in Hoffman Estates. Friday night's victory was due to a huge number of kills. Click on the PDF image to the right to see the full list of game stats. Tuesday's game is at 7:30 p.m. in Antioch against Vernon Hills. They enter the game 31-6.
