Inmate Batters Correctional Officer At Jail: Lake County Sheriff's Blotter

Police said the Gurnee man was being held at the Lake County Jail on other charges when the incident occurred last week.

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The following information comes from the Lake County Sheriff's Office and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Mario Bartolo-Silva, 45, of the 100 block of N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove, is accused of aggravated speeding, and was arrested Jan. 19 at Lake Cook and Lexington roads, Buffalo Grove. He was released following his arrest.

Brian R. Wisch, 47, of the 3400 block of Lee Avenue, Gurnee, is accused of aggravated battery to a correctional officer, and was arrested Jan. 20 at the Lake County Jail. He was being held there on other charges. A court date of Feb. 3 was assigned for the new charge.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Clint P. Morley, 55, of the 25600 block of W. Raska Lane, Lake Villa, had a warrant out of McHenry County for unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and was arrested Jan. 20 at Lake Shore Drive and Raska Lane, Lake Villa. A future court date in McHenry County was to be determined at the time of the report.

AGGRAVATED BATTERY TO A PEACE OFFICER

  • Shanekia D. Jones, 42, no permanent address, had a warrant for aggravated battery to a peace officer, and was arrested Jan. 20 in the 39100 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park. She was being detained at the Lake County Jail at the time of report. A court date of Jan. 27 was assigned.
  • Michael A. Pohl, 38, of the 21200 block of W. Edgewood Avenue, unincorporated Lake Villa, is accused of aggravated battery to a peace officer, resisting arrest causing injury, domestic battery, and was arrested Jan. 21 in the 21200 block of W. Edgewood Avenue, unincorporated Lake Villa. He was being detained at the Lake County Jail at the time of the report. A court date of Feb. 19 was assigned.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED

Hector D. Garcia, 27, of the 2700 block of 26th Street, Zion, had a warrant for driving while license suspended, and was arrested Jan. 21 at 33rd Street and Lewis Avenue, Beach Park. He was released and assigned a court date of Feb. 4.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS TO VEHICLE

Cherie S. Bolin, 29, of Crooksville, Ohio, had a warrant for criminal trespass to a vehicle, and was arrested Jan. 22 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. She was released and assigned a court date of Feb. 11.

CHILD ENDANGERMENT

Eric K. Jones, 35, of the 200 block of Devlin Road, Fox Lake, had a warrant for child endangerment, and was arrested Jan. 22 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. He was release and assigned a court date of Feb. 19.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Marek A. Richards, 30, of the 0-100 block of McKinley Avenue, Fox Lake, is accused of driving under the influence of drugs, open transportation of alcohol, improper transportation of cannabis, and was arrested Jan. 23 at Rollins Road and Hook Drive, Round Lake Beach. He was released and assigned a court date of March 11.

THEFT

Travis R. McCoy, 24, of the 1900 block of Carmel Boulevard, Zion, had a warrant for theft, and was arrested Jan. 23 in the 39100 block of Sheridan Road, Beach Park. A future court date was to be determined at the time of the report.
