"The Last Dance" Story Continues on the Deerfield Library Podcast
Sports Journalist K.C. Johnson shares his memories of the Bulls in Deerfield on the Deerfield Public Library Podcast

Deerfield, IL -- On this month’s episode of the Deerfield Public Library Podcast, we welcome K.C. Johnson, Bulls Insider for NBC Sports Chicago, to discuss The Last Dance and memories of the Chicago Bulls in Deerfield.
One of the things that has kept many sports fans (and non-sports fans) going during these months of quarantine is The Last Dance, ESPN’s 10-part documentary series on Michael Jordan’s last season with the Chicago Bulls. The documentary, which finished airing this week, features previously unseen footage from that ’97-’98 season–much of it shot here in Deerfield at the Bulls former practice facility, the Berto Center.
K.C. Johnson tells us what it was like to report from the Berto Center and shares his firsthand perspective on the documentary, Michael Jordan, Dennis Rodman, Jerry Krause, and many “unforgettabull” stories from when the Chicago Bulls made their home in our village. Though the Bulls moved downtown to the Advocate Center in 2014, The Last Dance gives us a great opportunity to reflect on those legendary Jordan years, and beyond. The Bulls will always be part of sports history–and Deerfield history.
