Mailboxes Removed From Posts, Tossed On Lawns: Blotter
While investigating report of a mailbox removed from its post and tossed onto a lawn, police discovered several others: Riverwoods Blotter.

- Jesus Guillen, 25, of the 200 block of Westmoreland Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding, and was arrested at 1:04 a.m. Aug. 22, near Lake Cook and Portwine roads. He was released on a $3,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 22
- Demond Loven Chase, 29, of the 1000 block of Todd Farm Drive, Elgin, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding, improper lane usage, no valid driver's license, and was arrested at 1:42 a.m. Aug. 24, near Lake Cook and Portwine roads. He was released on a $3,000 bond and assigned a court date of Sept. 22.
- Nicusor Cosmin Margel, 30, of the 4100 block of Jennifer Lane, Arlington Heights, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding, and was arrested at 2:25 a.m. Aug. 16, near Lake Cook and Portwine roads. He was released on a $3,000 bond and was assigned a court date of Sept. 16.

BURGLARY
Police responded to the 1900 block of Calvin Court at 3 p.m. Aug. 21, on a report of a burglary. The resident reported that someone entered a shed on the property that morning and removed various household items stored there. The investigation continues.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
Police responded to the 1700 block of Clendenin Lane at 7:20 a.m. Aug. 6, for a report of a mailbox on a lawn. Further investigation found that a total of three mailboxes were removed from their posts overnight someone and left on the ground in the 1600 and 1700 blocks of Clendenin Lane.
