Man Rips Gas Pump Nozzle Out Of Customer's Hand: Riverwoods PD Blotter
The Winnetka resident, who also grabbed the customer's arm, was charged with battery following the incident at Thornton's.

ARRESTS
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
Tatijana Sha Ree Davis, 32, of the 1200 block of S. Elder Lane, Waukegan, is accused of speeding, driving while license suspended, open transportation of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 1:25 a.m. April 4, at Lake Cook and Portwine roads. Davis was also found to have two active warrants out of Cook County related to a previous DUI and a violation of the conditions of release. She was able to post bonds on the warrants and was released, with a court date set for May 2. Her court date for the new charges is May 8.

BATTERY
Mark Hechter, 66, of the 100 block of Longmeadow Road, Winnetka, is accused of battery, and was arrested at 9:15 p.m. April 7. The charge stemmed from an incident on April 4 at Thornton's Gas Station, in which Hechter reportedly grabbed the arm of a customer and forcibly removed a gas pump nozzle from the other person’s hand. This action resulted in gas being sprayed upon the other person. Hechter was released and assigned a court date of May 7.
