Man Who Stabbed 2 With Scissors Arrested On Warrant: Riverwoods P.D.

A 71-year-old Riverwoods resident was served an arrest warrant on six felony charges by New Lenox police.

RIVERWOODS, IL — A Riverwoods man accused of stabbing two people with a pair of scissors last month was arrested Tuesday in New Lenox. Joseph Austin, 71, of the 3700 block of Deerfield Road, was wanted by Riverwoods police on a warrant for six felony charges stemming from the Oct. 19 attack.

Austin is charged with four counts of aggravated battery to one victim and two counts of aggravated battery to another victim. He was taken to Will County Jail pending transport to Lake County for a detention hearing.
