McRib is Back at McDonalds

One of the franchise's most popular items is back on the menu, but not for long

While it certainly isn't everyone's favorite, the McRib sandwich has gained a cult-like status among patrons of McDonald's.

And if you are one of those people who enjoys them, I've got great news for you: Much like Michael Jordan, this can be summed up in two words: It's back. (The McRib that is, not MJ).

Starting tomorrow, if you head to Deerfield or other local McDonald's stores, you can try a McRib yourself. The last time the McRib was available was about a year ago. Prior to that, the boneless pork sandwich hadn't been seen on a McDonald's menu for 16 years.

A word of warning though - get your fix fast, as this year it will only be on the menu through Nov. 14.

According to the Huffington Post, the McRib was first sold nationally in 1982. It has 500 calories and 26 grams of fat.

McDonald's has declined to give its national sales numbers for the sandwich, according to an article posted on the Huffington Post.
