Mitchell Pool Opens Saturday In Deerfield

DEERFIELD, IL — Just one weekend after the Deerspring Pool opened for the season, Mitchell Pool is slated to start offering public swimming Saturday. Located at 951 Wilmot Road, Mitchell Pool offers a six-lane, 25-meter pool that ranges in depth from 2 to 5 deep.

The pool also includes a diving well with two diving boards. A separate wading pool includes zero-depth entry, geysers, water cannons and a slide, according to the Deerfield Park District website.

Mitchell Pool will be open seven days a week through Sept. 4. Public swimming hours for the season are:

• 12:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m Monday through Friday
• 12:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday
• 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday

Deerspring Pool, which opened June 3, will be open through Aug. 13. Hours at Deerspring for public swimming are:

• 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday
• 12:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday
• 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday
