Noted Performer to Appear Friday in Highland Park

Hollis Resnik, Chicago's leading lady, will be featured in an intimate concert at 8 p.m. Friday at the Music Theatre Company, 1850 Green Bay Rd., in Highland Park.

Resnik will sing tunes by Stephen Sondheim, Jule Styne, Jerry Herman and more. Among her many area credits are "The Beard of Avon," "A Little Night Music," "The House of Martin Guerre" and "Book of the Night," at the Goodman Theatre and "Sweeney Todd" at the Ravinia Festival. She is the recipient of nine Jeff Awards and two Sarah Siddons Leading Lady Awards. 

Accompanying Resnik is Doug Peck, a fellow Jeff recipient, and is one of Chicago's leading musical directors.
