Open House Gives Residents 'Up-Close' Look At Deerfield Public Works Operations
The free Deerfield event will offer tours, hands-on activities, prizes and Touch-a-Truck from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
DEERFIELD, IL — Residents will have a chance to get an "up-close look" at village operations during the upcoming Public Works Open House.
The free event, hosted by the Village of Deerfield and the Deerfield Park District, is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, at the Deerfield Public Works Facility, 465 Elm St. Parking will be available at the Patty Turner Center, 375 Elm St.
Organizers say the open house is designed for both children and adults. The event will include tours and exhibits, along with hands-on activities, giveaways and prizes, according to the announcement. Visitors also can expect a Touch-a-Truck area, vendors and education, public works merchandise, free compost toolkits and Hefty ReNew Bags.
