Paczki Day 2026: Where To Find Paczki Near Deerfield
Local bakeries are busy filling orders for paczkis, the beloved deep-fried Polish confections, with Paczki Day set for Feb. 17.
DEERFIELD, IL — Local bakeries across Chicagoland are busy taking orders with Paczki Day only two weeks away. The beloved deep-fried Polish confections are as popular as ever, so don't delay in getting your orders in.
Chicago is the largest Polish city outside of Poland, with over 800,000 Polish Americans living here. It's no surprise that Paczki Day is a big deal throughout Chicagoland.
While last year's celebration fell on March 4, this year, Paczki Day will be celebrated on Feb. 17. Paczki Day coincides with Fat Tuesday, the traditional day before Christians around the world start the Lenten season with Ash Wednesday.
