Pedestrian Struck By Freight Train In Deerfield: Police
The Osterman Avenue crossing was closed for several hours Sunday, according to police.
DEERFIELD, IL — A pedestrian was struck by a Canadian National freight train Sunday night in Deerfield. According to police, the incident occurred at around 4:40 p.m. near the Osterman Avenue crossing, remained closed until around 11:30 p.m.
Police said the incident is currently being investigated by the Canadian National Police Service. They are being assisted by Metra police and the Deerfield Police Department.
