'Pokemon Go' in Deerfield: You Catch 'Em, We Map 'Em

Deerfield, IL—This week, you can't swing a Squirtle by its bulbous tail without running into—sometimes, quite literally—someone playing or talking about the new mobile augmented reality game Pokémon Go.

Even the Deerfield Police Department has asked residents to be careful when looking for one of the catchable creatures, in-game landmarks (called PokéStops) and training/battle areas (Pokémon gyms).

Of course, much of the fun of Pokémon Go is discovering these hidden Pokémon on your own. But it can be frustrating wandering around the village for hours, glued to your phone, hoping Pikachu will pop up on your screen. It can make you want to Pokémon Stop.
