Renowned Quartet Makes Northshore Debut
The Martin Wind Quartet will premier new release "Turn Out the Stars" in rare concert with New Trier Jazz Ensemble.

Jazz and western classical music will unite in a highly anticipated “Turn Out the Stars” performance on Friday night at New Trier High School in Winnetka.
The renowned Martin Wind Quartet will join the New Trier Jazz Ensemble and the Chamber Orchestra for a rare concert combining traditional jazz with the lush sounds of the orchestra.

Wind, a German born bassist and composer, recently released “Turn Out the Stars”, a collection of arrangements written or inspired by the iconic jazz pianist Bill Evans.
“Turn Out the Stars” premiered in Italy, and will make its United States debut at New Trier.

The performance will be held at 7:30pm on Friday at Gaffney Auditorium. General admission will be $5 for students, $10 for adults, available the night of the performance.
