Replacement Needed On D-113 School Board
Julie Gordon resigned Sunday after more than 4 years on the District 113 Board of Education.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL —The District 113 Board of Education has an empty seat to fill after one of its members resigned this week. Julie Gordon, who had sat on the board since 2013, resigned from it for personal reasons effective Sunday, a district news release said.
Gordon has been dedicated to the community since her election, according to the release. She wished the board, district and administration at Deerfield High School and Highland Park High School nothing but the best for the future.
“It has been my honor and privilege to serve with you and other members of our dedicated, student-focused Board over the past 4-1/2 years,“ wrote Gordon in her resignation letter to Board of Education President Michelle Culver.
