Report: Kimbrel Had Ties to Firm That Recruited Her
Controversy is the latest in the case of a superintendent yet to begin in her role.

It turns out that Dr. Laurie Kimbrel, the woman hired to become the next superintendent of Township High School District 113 had ties to the firm the District used to recruit her, the Deerfield Review reports.
The search firm, Hazard, Young, Attea and Associates, was hired last fall by Township High School District 113 to conduct the district’s search for its new superintendent. The president of the firm confirmed to the Review Wednesday that Kimbrel served as an associate for them last spring to assist with superintendent searches in California, where she currently works.
This is the latest among a variety of controversial issues surrounding the superintendent who does not officially start in her new role until July 1.
