Rhapsody Is Readers’ Breakfast Choice

is Deerfield’s favorite breakfast spot with a close second in this week’s but the biggest winner was Deerfield.

The Village became engaged over this contest. I took myself out to breakfast this week and was never disappointed.

One reader, Harry Steindler, could not make up his mind. He likes them both equally He praises the owners and staff of each place. And, he knows the menus.

“Can't beat Mickey Mouse pancakes and Chocolate Milk Kevin Style but the south of the border styled fair at Rhapsody is top notch too,” Steindler writes. I say we're lucky to have them both and no reason to pick one over the other.”

The loyal clientele of the two eateries made solid arguments for their choice in the comments section and left reviews on the restaurant’s listing on Patch as 1,430 votes were cast. Rhapsody had 849 votes and Kevin’s checked in with 552.

Though there were was support for , , and , advocates of Rhapsody and Eggshell pushed their favorites. While Rhapsody had the most votes, 10 readers offered support for Kevin’s in the comments section with six for Rhapsody.

“First of all, everything on the menu is incredible,” writes Mimi S about Kevin’s. “Second of all, every single family that comes in there feels instantly like family, and that is because of Kevin's incredible and warming personality.”

Lilly B makes a simple argument for Rhapsody Café. “Rhapsody is the best! Great food, great people and great service,” she writes.
