'Several' Small Businesses Burglarized Overnight In Deerfield: Police

Police said the overnight Thursday/Friday incidents are currently under investigation.

DEERFIELD, IL — Following reports of "several" commercial burglaries at small businesses overnight (Thursday into Friday) in the village, Deerfield police sent out a community notification.

"We want to inform residents that there were reports of several commercial burglaries of small businesses reported overnight in the village," the notification reads. "At this time, there is no immediate threat to the safety of our community. The incidents are currently under active investigation."

Police are encouraging residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the Deerfield Police Department.
