Sex Offender Fails To Register, Arrested: Blotter

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The following information comes from the Lake County Sheriff's Office and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

ARRESTS

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Keith E. Surroz, 63, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, is accused of disorderly conduct, and was arrested Oct. 4 in the 25000 block of W. Rollins Road, Ingleside. His bond was set at $1,500 and he was assigned a court date of Nov. 10.

FAILURE TO REGISTER AS A SEX OFFENDER

Miguel A. Lemus, 40, of the 11700 block of 29th Street, Beach Park, is accused of failure to register as a sex offender, and was arrested Oct. 6 in Beach Park. His bond was set at $200,000 and he was assigned a court date of Oct. 25.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

• Jennifer L. Hadley, 48, of the 32900 block of N. Ashley Drive, Unincorporated Grayslake, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Oct. 7 at Twin Lakes Boulevard and Battershall Road, Unincorporated Grayslake. Her bond was set at $3,000 and a future court date was to be determined at the time of the report.
• Beth A. Garnett, 61, of the 26100 block of W. Channel Avenue, Unincorporated Antioch, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Oct. 7 at Heart O'Lakes Boulevard and Margaret Lane, Unincorporated Antioch. Her bond was set at $3,000 and a future court was to be determined at the time of the report.
• Carlos A. Mercado Murillo, 44, of the 1200 block of Brookside Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Oct. 7 at Lewis Avenue and Edgewood Road, Beach Park. His bond was set at $3,000 and he was assigned a court date of Nov. 17.
• German A. Meza, 43, of the 300 block of Jackson Street, Waukegan, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Oct. 7 at Wadsworth Road and Lewis Avenue, Beach Park. Bond was set at $3,000 and Meza was assigned a court date of Nov. 24.
• Manuel J. Alquicira, 28, of the 300 block of S. Elmwood Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Oct. 8 at Route 43 and Casimir Pulaski Drive, Waukegan. His bond was set at $3,000 and he was assigned a court date of Nov. 24.
• Robert C. James, 58, of the 4200 block of Birch Drive, Zion, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, no insurance, and was arrested Oct. 9 at Hunt Club Road and Ancona Avenue, Old Mill Creek. His bond was set at $3,000 and he was assigned a court date of Nov. 24.
• Milo R. Polovina, 65, of the 27400 block of Fieldstone Court, Lake Barrington, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Oct. 10 in Lake Barrington. His bond was set at $3,000 and he was assigned a court date of Dec. 1.
• Gilberto Mojarro-Garcia, 33, of the 2400 block of Dunley Court, Waukegan, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, no driver's license, and was arrested Oct. 10 at Route 41 and Wadsworth Road, Wadsworth. His bond was set at $10,000 and he was assigned a court date of Nov. 17.

THEFT

Edwin Hernandez, 24, of the 2500 block of Jethro Avenue, Zion, is accused of theft, and was arrested Oct. 7 in the 40600 block of N. Cornell Street, Beach Park. His bond was set at $35,000 and he was assigned a court date of Nov. 10.

NO DRIVER'S LICENSE

Argenis Ortiz, 25, of the 26100 block of W. Lakeview Avenue, Ingleside, is accused of having a warrant out of McHenry County for no driver's license, driving while license revoked, and was arrested Oct. 7 in the 2700 block of Hartigan Road, Volo. Bond was set at $8,000 and a future court date in McHenry County was to be determined at the time of the report.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED/REVOKED

• Felix Alvarez, 49, of the 12200 block of W. 33rd Street, Beach Park, is accused of driving while license suspended, driving while registration suspended, no insurance, and was arrested Oct. 7 at Delany Road and Ryan Road, Unincorporated Gurnee. Bond was set at $2,000.
• Anthony E. Wasser, 37, of the 1000 block of Greenwood Circle, Woodstock, is accused of driving while license suspended, and was arrested Oct. 7 at Routes 12 and 134, Fox Lake. His bond was set at $1,500.

SPEEDING

Alejandra Otero, 21, of the 1000 block of Massena Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of aggravated speeding (75 mph in a 40 mph zone), and was arrested Oct. 8 at Sheridan Road and Howard Street, Beach Park. Her bond was set at $2,000.

OBSTRUCTING A PEACE OFFICER

Nichole C. Botsford, 44, of Chesterton, Indiana, is accused of obstructing a peace officer, resisting arrest, and was arrested Oct. 9 at Route 59 and Beach Grove Road, Unincorporated Antioch. Bond was set at $1,500 and Botsford was assigned a court date of Oct. 26.
