Sex Offender Nabbed At Park: Lake County Sheriff's Blotter

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The following information comes from the Lake County Sheriff's Office and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

ARRESTS

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

• Arthur J. Scarbough, 23, of the 3000 block of Gabriel Avenue, Zion, is accused of disorderly conduct, resisting a correctional employee, and was arrested Aug. 19 at the Lake County Jail. He was being held there on other charges, and was assigned a court date of Aug. 27.
• Madeline E. McKee, 25, of the 3800 block of Cheyenne Road, Gurnee, had a warrant for disorderly conduct, and was arrested Aug. 22 at Route 45 and Rollins Road, unincorporated Gurnee. Shew as released and assigned a court date of Sept. 26.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

• Armando Soto Marin, 31, of the 200 block of Oak Lane, Winthrop Harbor, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Aug. 19 at Wadsworth Road and Lewis Avenue, Beach Park. He was released and assigned a court date of Sept. 25.
• Trevon D. Taylor, 23, of the 2300 block of N. Ashland Avenue, Chicago, is accused of DUI drugs, improper transportation of cannabis, and was arrested Aug. 19 at Lake Cook Road and Crooked Creek Trail, Deer Park. He was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 2.
• Eric B. Wittke, 30, of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, is accused of aggravated DUI drugs, driving while license revoked, no insurance, and was arrested Aug. 24 at Chicago Avenue and Wadsworth Road, Wadsworth. He was released and assigned a court date of Sept. 9.
• Matthew M. Corcoran, 40, of the 7200 block of State Park Road, Spring Grove, had a warrant out of Kane County for DUI, a warrant out of McHenry County for criminal trespass, and was arrested Aug. 24 in the 38900 block of N. Green Bay Road, Beach Park. Future court dates in Kane and McHenry counties were to be determined at the time of the report.
• Gina L. Demarie, 53, of the 40500 block of N. Lakeshore Drive, unincorporated Antioch, is accused of aggravated DUI, reckless driving, endangering the life of a child, open transportation of alcohol, no insurance, driving while license revoked, and was arrested Aug. 24 at Yorkhouse Road and Harper Avenue, Waukegan. She was being detained at the Lake County Jail at the time of the report and was assigned a court date of Aug. 27.

SEXUAL OFFENDER AT PARK

Cameron E. Nokes, 34, of the 41100 block of N. Hook Circle, unincorporated Antioch, who is a sex offender, was illegally at a park, and was arrested Aug. 21 at W. Carson Drive and N. Summerfield Road, unincorporated Lake Villa. He was released and assigned a court date of Sept. 11.

VIOLATING AN ORDER OF PROTECTION

James M. Anderson, 64, of the 38400 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park, is accused of violating an order of protection, and was arrested Aug. 21 in the 38400 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park. He was released and assigned a court date of Sept. 4.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA

Michael Davila, 42, of the 2800 block of N. Pine Street, Waukegan, had a warrant for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and was arrested Aug. 21 in the 2800 block of N. Pine Street, Waukegan. He was released and assigned a court date of Sept. 5.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS TO PROPERTY

Sinthia A. Nixon-Odoms, 45, of the 100 block of S. Atkinson Road, Grayslake, is accused of criminal trespass to property, resisting a peace officer, and was arrested Aug. 21 in the 39000 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park. They were released and assigned a court date of Sept. 24.

PROBATION VIOLATION

Geoffrey A. Claiborne, 55, of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, had a warrant from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections for a probation violation, and was arrested Aug. 22 at Routes 41 and 173, Wadsworth. A future court date with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections was to be determined at the time of the report.

ATTEMPTED UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Hailey A. Gertz, 23, of the 26100 block of W. Lakeview Avenue, Ingleside, had a warrant for attempted unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and was arrested Aug. 22 at Rollins Road and Blackhawk Avenue, Ingleside. She was released and a future court date was to be determined at the time of the report.

OPERATING WATERCRAFT UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL

• Ainsley Thurber Winnie, 38, of the 2200 block of Central Road, Rolling Meadows, is accused of operating watercraft under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Aug. 22 at Nippersink Lake. They were released and assigned a court date of Oct. 16.
• Edward F. Clarke, 59, of the 2100 block of Timber Ridge Road, Schaumburg, is accused of operating watercraft under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Aug. 23 at Grass Lake. He was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 9.

RECKLESS DISCHARGE OF A FIREARM

Antelmo Bracamontes, 51, of the 2200 block of Carmel Avenue, Zion, is accused of reckless discharge of a firearm, and was arrested Aug. 23 at Sheridan and Yorkhouse roads, Beach Park. He was released and assigned a court date of Sept. 17.

RETAIL THEFT

Aviel G. Palacios, 35, of the 100 block of Elm Avenue, Mundelein, had a warrant for retail theft, and was arrested Aug. 24 in the 31700 block of N. Route 12, Volo. They were released and assigned a court date of Sept. 9.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

Randy O. Capers, 36, of the 800 block of McAree Road, Waukegan, is accused of criminal trespass to property, obstructing identification, and was arrested Aug. 24 in the 12700 block of W. Wakefield Drive, Beach Park. He was released and assigned a court date of Sept. 11.

CHILD ENDANGERMENT

Katarzyna M. Dybas, 34, of the 2700 block of 17th Street, Zion, had a warrant for child endangerment, conditions of release violation, and was arrested Aug. 24 at 33rd Street and Green. Bay Road, Beach Park. They were sentenced to 26 days in Lake County Jail on the warrant charge, and was assigned a court date of Aug. 29 for the new charge.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METH WITH INTENT TO DELIVER

Austin R. Prinn, 27, of the 1000 block of Mackenzie Drive, Antioch, is accused of unlawful possession of meth with intent to deliver, and was arrested Aug. 24 at Monaville Road and Piper Lane, Ingleside. He was being detained at the Lake County Jail at the time of the report and was assigned a court date of Aug. 27.
