Tailor Touched Client Inappropriately During Fitting: Police

DEERFIELD, IL - A tailor in Deerfield has been accused of inappropriately touching a female customer during a fitting earlier this month.

Edward Zein, 60, of the 900 block of Greenwood Avenue in Deerfield, works as a tailor at Walter’s Tailor Shop on Waukegan Road. He was charged with felony sexual abuse and misdemeanor battery after the woman reported the incident to police on Sept. 9, according to the Deerfield Review.

Deerfield Police Chief Thomas Keane said the woman told them Zein, who is free after posting a $40,000 bail, was “inappropriately touching her” during the fitting.

She reported the alleged misconduct to police immediately after the fitting was complete.
