Teen Falls Through Roof At Catholic School

A group of teenagers were on the roof at Holy Cross School late Sunday night when the accident happened, according to police.

DEERFIELD, IL — A teenager fell through the roof Sunday night at Holy Cross School. A few teenagers were on the roof at around 10:20 p.m. when an 18-year-old male fell through a skylight at 720 Elder Lane, about 25 feet down, according to the Deerfield Police Department.

The injured teenager was transported to Highland Park Hospital by the Deerfield-Bannockburn Fire Department with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police continue to investigate why the teenagers were on the roof. The school remains closed, but the church attached to the school is open.
