Thief Posing As Buyer Steals Scrapped Catalytic Converters: Riverwoods PD Blotter
Police said the incident occurred at a business in the 700 block of Saunders Road.

Flavio Juarez De Jesus, 29, of the 1000 block of Ridge Road, Highland Park, is accused of speeding, following too close, driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 12:46 a.m. Jan. 8, near Deerfield Road and Hoffman Lane. He was released and assigned a court date of Feb. 5.

Police responded to a business in the 700 block of Saunders Road at 3:28 p.m. Jan. 23, regarding a theft. A preliminary investigation revealed that a suspect, posing as a buyer, loaded three scrapped catalytic converters onto a truck at 2:15 p.m. and fled the scene without providing payment. The investigation continues.
