Thief Steals Wallet & Goes on Target Shopping Spree
The following incident was reported by the Deerfield Police Department on Feb. 10.

A suspect allegedly charged thousands of dollars on a local resident’s credit cards after stealing her wallet.
Police responded to the parking lot of on Thursday. The victim told officers she noticed her wallet was missing while shopping inside the store.
After searching the premises, authorities and Whole Foods employees could not locate the wallet and notified the woman to contact her credit card companies to monitor any fraudulent activity.

A couple of hours later the woman called police about a series of illegal charges. In a matter of hours someone had made several large purchases at businesses around the area including two Target stores.
The victim told officers someone charged $483 on one of her credit cards at the Target in Glenview and $867 at the same Target on another credit card. Shortly after, a $490 purchase was made at the Target in Niles and then another $449 charge at the Target in Glenview again.

A series of other purchases were made at two gas stations and one McDonalds.
Authorities are taking a look at surveillance video for details on any potential suspects.
