Deerfield High School’s softball team won three of its four games last week in the Disney ESPN Tournament in Orlando.

Warriors Star Performers: Dane Mercola went 2 – for – 4 with a double while Calista Kerstein did the same with four RBI.
Other Notable Warrior Performances: Alyssa Robin was the winning pitcher as Zoey Fishman was credited with a save. Alyssa Brill connected for a triple, Natalie Behling had a double and the trio of Emelia Karkazis, Sarah Spiro and Melissa Dolins chipped in base hits.
Who’s Next: The Warriors travel to Maine South at 4:45 p.m. today.
The Bottom Line: Deerfield jumped on Waunakee for three runs in the first inning and never trailed.
Game 3: The Final Score: Deerfield 6, Wausau West 2
Warriors Star Performers: Fishman hurled a complete game with 11 strike outs and one walk giving up two unearned runs. She also went 3 – for – 4 at the plate with a double. Kerstein was perfect at the plate with three hits in as many trips.
Other Notable Warrior Performances: Amanda Marks drove in three runs collecting three hits in four at bats. Mercola was 2 – for – 4 with a triple. Sami Horwtiz and Dolins each had a single.
The Bottom Line: As a team, the Warriors collaborated 13 hits.
Game 2: The Final Score: Deerfield 17, Faith Lutheran 2
Warriors Star Performers: Fishman, Behling and Dolins all had perfect 2 – for – 2 days at the plate as Behling contributed a double. Robin was the winning pitcher.
Other Notable Warrior Performances: Horwitz banged out a pair of hits in three trips and drove in three runs. Mercola was 2 – for – 4 with a triple. Karkazis drove in three runs with a single and Amanda Marks brought two runners home with her base hit. Mercola chipped in with a base hit while Hannah Odzer helped out on the mound in relief.
The Bottom Line: In the first win of the season, the Warriors collected 11 hits.
The Final Score: West Boca Raton 10, Deerfield 5
Warriors Star Performer: Fishman had three hits in four at bats including a triple as well as yielding only three earned runs on the mound.
Other Notable Warrior Performances: Dolins was 2 – for – 3 at the plate while Mercola, Karkazis and Behling chipped in with singles.

Warriors Star Performers: Winning in both singles and doubles were Cara Silverman, Katie Frankel, Dana Levy, Geri Soren, Nicki Flynn, Laura Holzman, Lauren Spungen and Erin Church.
Other Notable Warrior Performances: Zoe Sinton teamed with Levy for a doubles victory while Maddie Wilson did the same with Soren.
Who’s Next: The Warriors compete against Lake Park and Palatine at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in Palatine.
The Bottom Line: Deerfield won every doubles match and all but two singles efforts.
