West Deerfield Township Democratic Organization Endorses Dr. Thomas Rudd

Deerfield, IL. The West Deerfield Township Democratic Organization (WDTDO) on October 10 endorsed Lake County Coroner Thomas Rudd for re-election on November 8. The WDTDO urges Lake County voters to write-in Dr. Rudd's name in the Coroner's race. Ellie Sylvan, Chair of the WDTDO, explained that Dr. Rudd was considered to be the most qualified candidate.In March, Rudd was named the Illinois law enforcement executive of the year. Sylvan stated that: "We were impressed by Rudd's independence in his handling of the Gliniewicz case involving the Fox Lake police officer who committed suicide. We also viewed favorably his fearless role in advancing exculpatory evidence on behalf of the child care worker found guilty of murdering a toddler."
