Wisconsin Man Leaves Jail, But Cops Pick Him Up for '08 Armed Robbery

Huk O. Banwell was charged in connection with the armed robbery of a Deerfield hotel about 8 years ago.

No sooner was a Wisconsin man released from jail in that state than he was picked up by Deerfield police and charged in connection with a 2008 armed robbery, the Deerfield Review reports.

Huk O. Banwell, 46, of Verona, Wis., was taken in to custody by Deerfield police May 12 after he was released from Stanley Correctional Institution in Wisconsin, the report stated. Banwell was then charged in the August 2008 armed robbery of the Red Roof Inn, 340 S. Waukegan Road, the report added.

In that case, a man is reported to have flashed a knife as he entered the motel and demanded money, according to the Review.
