Alan Osinski Sworn In As Des Plaines Park Board Commissioner
Alan expressed his commitment to supporting the Park District's mission of providing high-quality recreational programs.

Alan Osinski was sworn in as the newest Des Plaines Park District Commissioner at the December 16, 2025 Board meeting, by Don Miletic, Executive Director.
Alan is a 2017 graduate of Judson University, where he attended on a baseball scholarship and earned a double major in Marketing and Management. He was hired out of college by F.H. Paschen, where he has held roles in marketing, communications, public relations, and procurement, and currently serves as an Assistant Vice President.
In addition to his professional experience, Alan is deeply committed to service and philanthropy. He is a founding member of the Affiliate Board of the Leukemia Research Foundation, an active member of Joey’s Angels, and serves on the Executive Committee of the Paschen Scholars Program, founded in 2015.

Alan and his wife are active participants in Des Plaines Park District programming. Their two children have taken part in a variety of Park District classes, including swim, dance, soccer, basketball, and tumbling. Alan has experienced firsthand the positive impact Park District programs have on local families.
“Alan will be a strong addition to the Park Board. As a parent of young children who will grow alongside our Park District, he brings a meaningful community perspective, along with valuable experience in governmental construction projects,” stated James Grady, Park Board President.

The Park Board is a legal governing authority through which the business of the District is conducted. Elected by the public for six-year terms, the Board consists of five volunteer commissioners, who meet on the third Tuesday of the month in the David L. Markworth Boardroom, at the Administrative and Leisure Center, 2222 Birch Street. The public is welcome, and encouraged to attend. Persons wishing to have items placed on the agenda should notify the Board Secretary, Donald Miletic, at the Administrative office, by letter or by telephone, 847-391-5700, no later than the Wednesday before any regularly scheduled Park Board meeting. Board agendas and approved minutes of meetings are available for the public to view at the Leisure Center and Prairie Lakes Community Center. Board documents are also online at www.DPParks.org.
