AMA Dancers Perform At Chicago Sky Game

Dance and tumbling school performs two numbers during half-time show

Last week AMA Dance & Music School performed two numbers during the half-time show at the Chicago Sky basketball game at Allstate Arena in Rosemont.

This was the second year in a row that AMA was asked to perform. "There is something really special about being at such a large venue where the crowd cheers non-stop," said AMA owner Ann Marie Frank. "I am really glad AMA is able to provide this special event for so many of our students."

The two numbers were "Bellhop Boogie," which saw the dancers dressed in rich, blue, old-fashioned bellhop uniforms and "Newsies," inspired by the Disney film of the same name, which had the dancers dressed as classic paperboys.

Forty-two students performed, eight students in both numbers, with a 30-second costume change in between. Three instructors participated as well: Frank in "Bellhop Boogie," and Christina Gale and Amy Probasco in "Newsies."
