Famed English Wrestler Found Dead In Vehicle Outside Des Plaines Restaurant: Reports

DES PLAINES, IL—A professional wrestler was found dead Sunday afternoon outside a Des Plaines restaurant.

A passerby called police when he spotted an unresponsive man in a vehicle around 4 p.m. Sunday in the 2700 block of South Mannheim Road, Daily Herald reported.

The Cook County Medical Examiner identified the man as English-born professional wrestler Benjamin Satterley, 40. The cause and manner of death are pending following an autopsy by the medical examiner.

A Des Plaines spokesperson told the Daily Herald that Satterley was alone when he was found, and there were no signs of trauma or foul play. Police do not believe the death to be suspicious.

Satterley, who performs under the name "Pac," was in town for All Elite Wrestling's ALL OUT promotion at NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates on Saturday. He lost his final match against against AEW National Champion Andrade El Ídolo. He was found inside his rental vehicle the next day, about a mile from O'Hare International Airport.

AEW broke the news of Pac's unexpected death Sunday evening. A native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley began his wrestling career in 2004 and went on to perform for wrestling organizations all over the world, captivating fans with innovative high-flying moves and incredible in-ring ability.

"Pac signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2019 and held multiple AEW championships and competed in some of the most memorable matches in AEW history," the professional wrestling organization said in a statement.
