The Des Plaines Park District is pleased to announce the appointment of Nahid Khumawala as its new Director of Business. She succeeds Director of Business Annette Curtis, who retired in August 2026.
Khumawala joins the Des Plaines Park District from the Village of Round Lake Beach, where she served as Assistant Finance Director. She brings extensive experience in financial management, business operations, and organizational leadership that will help support the District's mission of providing exceptional services to the community.
In her new role, Khumawala will oversee the Park District's Business Department, Information Technology operations, and financial management functions.
"We are excited to welcome Nahid to the Des Plaines Park District," said Executive Director Donald Miletic. "Her knowledge, leadership experience, and commitment to excellence will be valuable assets as we continue to responsibly manage District resources and serve our residents."

In her free time, Khumawala enjoys walking, hiking, reading, and spending time with her family.
