APA Bolingbrook hosted the another great celebration of Pakistan
Pakistani in Chicago Suburbs celebrated the 73rd anniversary of Pakistan's foundation on August 24th, 2019 at Bolingbrook.
Pakistan’s Independence Day is extreme importance for every Pakistani national who lives ether Pakistan and abroad. The Association of Pakistani Americans of Bolingbrook has hosted Pakistan Independence Day programs in Bolingbrook for 28 years. Pakistani-American community gathered from all corners of the state, as well as nearby neighboring states such as Indiana, Iowa and Michigan, to enjoy the Pakistan festival.
The main highlight of the Pakistan Independence Day celebrations is the National Flag hoisting ceremony similar type of flag hoisting ceremonies and independence special events are held in all major cities in USA but the celebration in the Village of Boiling Brook.375 W. Briarcliff Rd. behind Village Hall is totally remarkable. The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, August 24th, 2019. It was free and open to the public.
It is then followed by playing the American and Pakistani national anthem and live Broadcast speeches and Activities by leaders, along with Special Performances, playing of patriotic songs and cultural activities. It was a Complete Pakistani cultural event that was a captured the imagination of the Pakistani American community.

The event was Complete sponsored by Dr. Nadim Longi and Dr. Moazzam Saeed of Advanced Pediatric Care. Since several decades. Consul General of Pakistan Javed Umrani, Mayor Roger Claar and several other elected officials, including State and Village officials and the board members of the APA were present at the opening ceremony and flag ceremony.
Talat Rashid is the founder of the Associated of Pakistani Americans of Bolingbrook. Currently working as a Police Commissioner of Bolingbrook said during an Interview with local News Paper” The whole idea of this Pakistani festival was to bring Community Together. We are celebrating this day since 28th years for our Community.”

The celebration features a fun filled day for all ages, Musical performances by noted and popular artists from Pakistan, ethnic Pakistani cuisine, handicrafts, boutiques, sports, air plane and children's entertainment. The festival is open to the public, a free event with no admission fee or parking charges.
More than 15,000 people gathered in Bolingbrook where the several singers performed live for more than hours, including local artist Roben Sadiq and Imran Abbas Durrani. The debate continued regarding crowd size, with figures ranging from 10,000 to 15,000. But natural sources conformed crowd was not less than 15,000. The highlight of the day was Nadeem Abbas Rufi who came from Pakistan, especially for this event performed in the biggest crowd in Boiling Brook history at 28th Taste of Pakistan Festival. This musical show wasn't possible without the great musicians of Chicagoland Syed Mudassar, Nasir Iqbal and Raju.
Attendees from many parts of Chicago and suburb came with their friends and family members and enjoyed and Celebrate Pakistani Festival Day.
