Asif Malik was honored at AACC Gala for Exemplary Community Service.

Lunar New Year Gala of the Asian American Coalition of Chicago (AACC), the oldest and most prominent organization devoted to diversity

On February 22, 2018, more than 1,000 people attended the annual event of the Asian American Coalition of Chicago (AACC) 42, which was held at the Hotel Hyatt Regency O'Hare, Illinois. AACC has partnered with the Asian American community in 18 countries, including Pakistan. AACC member nations are taking turns hosting the annual event. Awards for outstanding public service or activity performance (Exemplary Community Service awards) are given to community members during the event, along with recognition for youth. (Youth Who Excels Awards) by the leaders of the Pakistani community, and the two young Pakistanis who were honored this year are Mr. Asif Malik and Mr. Yaseen Ahmed.

Several members of the Pakistani American community and representatives from the Pakistani Consulate-General in Chicago including Mr. Tariq Karim( GC) attended the 42nd annual Asian American Coalition of Chicago (AACC) meeting in the Hyatt Regency O'Hare, Illinois, on February 22, 2025. Founded in 1983, AACC is an association comprising several ethnic communities with the goal of fostering intercultural understanding and uniting Asian Americans. The Indonesian American Community will host the 42nd AACC event in 2025. The Youth Who Excels Awards and the Exemplary Community Service Awards were given out on this occasion to members of different member communities who have shown exceptional leadership in public service or community service. Mr. Yaseen Ahmed was given the Youth Who Excels Award, and Mr. Asif Malik was given the Exemplary Community Service Award specifically for Pakistanis.

Asif Malik is a devoted leader who has had a significant influence on the Cook County Circuit Court Clerk's Office for more than 12 years. Distinguished by his outstanding financial management, strategic vision, and steadfast dedication to moral principles, he has significantly increased efficiency throughout the Suburban Districts and raised the benchmark for excellence in public service. In his role as Assistant Chief Deputy Clerk, Asif exemplifies integrity by ensuring that staff members follow the highest ethical and professional standards while managing intricate operational procedures. He demonstrates his forward-thinking attitude and dedication to enhancing accessibility and customer relations through his creative.

Beyond his accomplishments in the workplace, Asif is an enthusiastic and involved leader in Maine Township's South Asian community. He believes that active citizen participation in municipal government, diversity, and cultural competency are important. In his diligent efforts to guarantee that all communities, especially those in unincorporated areas, have a voice and are adequately represented, Asif advocates for a more inclusive and representative township. Being an immigrant, he offers the Township Board a plethora of expertise in planning, budgeting, finance, and community involvement, with an emphasis on making sure that all opinions are heard.

As proof of his attention to quality work and his unwavering dedication to fostering a more productive and inclusive public service environment, Asif holds degrees in both science and agriculture management.
