Bicyclist Lures Children At Bus Stops
VIDEO: A man on a bike solicited children at multiple bus stops Wednesday morning in Des Plaines.

DES PLAINES, IL — Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who approached students at bus stops and offered them rides in unincorporated Des Plaines Wednesday. Around 7:30 a.m., a man on a bicycle rode up to a boy and a girl at a school bus stop near Church Street and Bay Colony Drive and offered them rides, Cook County Sheriff's police said.
The bicyclist told the boy he "could give him a ride in his car if the school bus did not show up," according to a news release from Sheriff Thomas Dart. He then rode over to a girl at the same bus stop and offered her a ride, asking her to go for coffee with him.
Both kids ignored the man and got on the bus.
