DP library Director Holly Sorenson said, “Des Plaines Public Library already serves as the crossroads of the Des Plaines community and is a major destination for social services info and resources. Residents are familiar and comfortable with the library, our friendly staff and accessible environment. We are pleased to extend those services even further by partnering with the Center of Concern to help bridge the nutrition gap in older adults and support the efforts of other organizations trying to reduce food insecurity in the community.
