Chicago Auto Show 2024, Automakers Unveiled More Affordably Priced EVs

The largest vehicle show in North America, the Chicago Auto Show, debuted in 1901 and has since been hosted more times than any other car exposition on the continent. This year marks the 116th edition of the Chicago Auto Show.

Conducted in the Stunning McCormick Place Every year, the Chicago Show Display showcases significant global and North American debuts in addition to the extensive lineup of both domestic and foreign passenger cars, trucks, SUVs, minivans, and concept and experimental vehicles.

The organizers of the Chicago Auto Show say that whether you're searching for a new car now or in the coming months, this is the place to be.

Saturday, February 10, 2024, marks the first day of the 2024 Chicago Auto Show at McCormick Place. But they conducted media previews on February 8, 2024.

The Chicago Auto Show is scheduled from Saturday, February 10 to Friday, February 19. The entryway is open every day at 10 a.m.

This year at the Chicago Auto Show, major automakers showcased three distinct automobile types: concept cars, debut cars, and production cars.

2024 Auto Show in Chicago encompassed the Tesla Cyber truck as its main attraction.

Numerous electric cars (EVs) from BMW, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Ford, Kia, Lucid, Nissan, and Volkswagen were on display at the auto show. Most of them offered drives for testing. The Tesla Cyber truck was not available for test drives.

Many EVs, including the 2025 BMW i5, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ, the Ford F-150 Lightning Switchgear, and EVs from recent arrivals like the Lucid Air, were fascinating to view and test drive.

Additionally, a University of Illinois solar car that was entirely designed and constructed by multiple students was on display at the Chicago Auto Show.

The Illinois Secretary of State's office offered DMV services to anyone in 2024 who needed their documentation updated during the Chicago Auto Show.

"The Chicago Auto Show is a cornerstone event for the city, and we are excited to open our doors again this winter welcoming attendees to experience the latest vehicles, technology and activations," JC Phelan, the show's chairman, said.

The black-tie charity extravaganza, First Look for Charity, is set for Friday, February 9 at McCormick Place. Since its founding, First Look for Charity has contributed $60 million to regional organizations in the Chicago area. There will be gourmet food and beverages, great music, and a chance to win a brand-new 2024 Chevrolet Blazer. This year, visitor tickets are slightly more expensive.

Another objective of the auto show was to make it participatory; visitors were welcome to sit in automobiles and examine the engine. There are other exhibits and distinctive features that showcase classic and customized automobiles.

Despite being smaller than normal, occupying only one exhibition hall instead of two. This year a good number of automakers attended, and many consumers expressed satisfaction at seeing the Chicago Auto Show once more. The children and teenagers in particular were ecstatic.
