Chicagoland's Greatest Eid 3-day celebration held in Villa Park
ICNA, Chicago host eid Fest in Chicago
Thousands of Muslims from around the Chicagoland converged on the Chicagoland's Greatest Eid 3-day celebration from June 7-9th, 2019. The Festival was packed with 80 vendors showcasing the latest and greatest in products and services in the Expo. The event included variety of international cuisines, a bazaar for shopping, sports, carnival rides, amusement rides, bounce houses, and more.
The Muslims from Illinois and its nearby States come from the different nationalities and have their own traditions and customs to celebrate the festival of id and they celebrate the festival with their other brothers belonging to the same religion, but different nationality, with the same zeal and enthusiasm as they celebrate the festival in their own country.
The Eid Festival was organized by Islamic Foundation and ICNA, Chicago. The Eid Fest has large and big bazaar featuring vendors selling a wide variety of items such as clothing, jewelry, gifts, toys and artwork from around the world. It was a huge occasion for over 15,000 children, youth, families, and representing various communities originating Muslim from Chicago and its Suburbs.

During an Interview member of ICNA Chicago, Muhammad said, “We are celebrating our holiday openly, and to feel safe expressing our religion in public it’s very important for us to bring Muslim community in One Platform.”
Festival contain around 100 booths featuring different ethnic Halal Food, Family & Children Activities, Bazaars for women and Children, Fun Slides for all, the International Dragon Boat, Ferries Wheel, Bumper Cars, Tea Cups, Fireworks, etc. The event was open for three days for all ages with free entry and parking. Non-Muslim were also well come to enjoy the Muslim festival.

The carnival involved games, as well as sports competitions, including several Tug of war competition.
Prizes were distributed among those children who had the best performance in games as a gift of Eid.
During the three day event featured several activities and the Eid Carnival to provide visitors with an enhanced shopping experience.
An attendee who wants name anonymous said, “The event is a great way to bring people together. We here today to try out some new and delicious ethnic foods while making new friends and learning about different cultures at the same time and learn our great Muslim neighbors.”
Mazhar Siddique from Indiana said “This Eid Festival I Still feel, I am in my country Pakistan celebrating Eid with my family and friends. ICNA is doing Great job for our community together.”
Ali Khan from Chicago said, “Great event for the family. Lots of rides for my youngest son, ethnic and American food, reasonably priced available as well extensive amount of shipping vendors for clothing and accessories. Petting zoo and horse rides were $5 each and fun. Wish they had opened earlier, but will go again next year.”
Another attendees Mr. Tariq Mohammad said, “This festival provide us a time to spend quality time with family and friends. It’s a good opportunity for us to celebrate this religious holiday away from our home countries.”
Wonderful spectacular fireworks displayed at the end of the second day. There were no fireworks at third and final night. Porto's Peri Peri Villa Park was the major sponsor for Eid Fest 2019 and the Fireworks. Furqaan Energy Brokerage was the Prime Sponsor for the event.
