Countryside Saloon Sports Bar & Grill Steps Up Big for Maine Township's Food Pantry

Thanks to the owners and staff of Countryside and its patrons over $25,000 has been raised for needy families and individuals.

A Valued Food Pantry Supporter

In the last five years, Countryside Saloon Sports Bar & Grill in unincorporated Maine Township has raised over $25,000 for the Maine Township Food Pantry. During the NFL season, Countryside does raffles with patrons for sports apparel which is mostly Chicago Bears jerseys but this past season they added Chicago Cubs apparel and even one Green Bay Packers jersey for the game with Green Bay played Chicago. Here presenting this year’s check of $5,400, l to r, is Janet Bar, Countryside owner, and Joyce Solvig, Countryside’s fundraising coordinator, with Township Supervisor Carol A. Teschky and Carol Langan, the Township Food Pantry Coordinator. “We sincerely appreciate such wonderful support from Countryside and its patrons,” says Teschky. “Many schools, churches, scouting organizations and civic groups are also helping us regularly to feed needy people in our area.”
