Des Plaines Could Help With County Services

The Chicago Tribune reports that Des Plaines and other nearby municipalities are looking into taking over some Cook County services.

Cook County is looking into outsourcing some services for unincorporated areas to neighboring communities, including Des Plaines, Park Ridge, Niles and Glenview, the Chicago Tribune reports. 

Representatives from the town are meeting this week with the county to hear the county's plans, which include providing services for things such as police coverage, home inspections and zoning for unincorporated Cook County. They will discuss the cost of the joint venture, as well as other issues.
