Des Plaines Golf Center Named Top 100 Ranges Ten Years in a Row

The was named one of the “Top 100 Golf Ranges in America” by Golf Range Magazine for the tenth year in a row.

The announcement was made by Steve di Costanzo, founder of Golf Range Magazine, the leading trade magazine in the industry. “Facilities named to the Top 100 list for 2011 have distinguished themselves in the areas of teaching and training, operations and community outreach programs,” said di Costanzo.

Open year-round, the Golf Center range features three tiers of 80 heated and covered hitting bays. A state-of-the-art, computerized, automated tee-up system allows golfers to custom set their tee height, up to a full two”. Balls pop up automatically, which keeps the golfer from bending over and helps hold their swing position from shot to shot. The 300 yards of targeted outdoor landing area allows golfers to track the full flight of every drive.

The range also has twelve grass practice tees and a separate 1-1/2 acre short-game area. After practice time on the range, golfers can put their swing to use on the 9-hole course. Designed by renowned local architect Rick Jacobs, The Golf Center's lighted, par-3 course has holes that range from 80 to 200 yards, and hazards that include a lake, hills, prairie grass, and berms.

GolfTEC offers the number one golf lesson in America using industry-leading technology to provide specific data on a golfer’s swing.
