Des Plaines Man Charged With Attack on CTA Employee
The 26-year old is accused of the Sunday night attack on the female train operator in Chicago.

A Des Plaines man has been identified as the person who attacked a female Chicago Transit Authority train operator Sunday night in Chicago.
The Chicago Police Department announced charges of one felony count of aggravated battery on a transit employee Monday night against Braulio Portes, 26, of the 10000 block of Holly Lane.
Portes is accused of attacking the woman around 7:35 p.m. Sunday night in the 100 block of W. Lake Street by jumping through the window of the operator’s cabin and punching and kicking her.

Portes was detained by train patrons and taken into custody when officers arrived.
The victim was taken to Northwestern Hospital, where she is listed in stable condition.
