Des Plaines Man Hit, Killed by Metra Train

A 30-year-old Des Plaines man was killed after being struck by a Metra train Thursday evening near unincorporated Maine Township in the northwest suburbs, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Thomas M. Young, of the 600 block of Jon Lane in Des Plaines, was struck at about 7:35 p.m. Wednesday by on outbound train on the North Central line between the Prospect Heights and O’Hare train station, according to the article.
