Des Plaines Park District Hosts Free “Leashes & Lattes” Event at Blackhawk Dog Park

Pups and People Invited to Free "Leashes & Lattes" Gathering at Blackhawk Dog Park

The Des Plaines Park District invites dog lovers and their furry companions to a morning of fun, coffee provided by Scooter’s Coffee at Leashes & Lattes, a free outdoor event held at Blackhawk Dog Park on Saturday, June 20, from 10:00a–12:00p.

This family‑friendly gathering offers a perfect blend of socialization and play. Participants will enjoy games, activities, raffles, and treats for both humans and canine companions, along with local vendors, giveaways, and plenty of tail‑wagging fun. Complimentary coffee will be available for attendees as they explore the park and connect with fellow dog owners.

“Dogs get to play, humans get caffeine, and everyone leaves a little happier. That’s a win in our book.” said Don Miletic, Executive Director. “It’s a chance for neighbors to meet, dogs to play, and everyone to enjoy one of our most beloved outdoor spaces.”
