Des Plaines Riverbank Cleanup a Great Success!
Volunteers cleaned five major areas along the Des Plaines River in Des Plaines.
Izaak Walton League and Clean Up - Give Back teamed up for the Des Plaines Riverbank Cleanup.
Before heading out, Donna Adam, President of Clean Up - Give Back thanked special guests Dick and Nancy Wilson and Dr. Robert “Bud” Phillips for all their conservation work in the past including “Keep Des Plaines Beautiful.
Volunteers broke into groups and cleaned five major areas along the Des Plaines River. 85 bags of garbage were retrieved. The cleanup campaign was a great success thanks to all the hardworking volunteers.
