Dilawar Syed to be Deputy Administrator of the Small Business
President Joe Biden announced on March 3 afternoon, Dilawar Syed for Deputy Administrator at the Small Business Administration.

According to the White House, Dilawar Syed, a Pakistani-American businessman, has worked with the Asian American and Pacific Islander as president. Dilawar Syed has also been associated with the Small Business Administration and the Commerce Department.
According to a statement from the White House, Dilawar Syed has also been instrumental in promoting economic growth at the federal, state and local levels.
Dilawar Syed came to the USA from Sialkot, Pakistan. His parents had a business in the sports sector. After graduating from Aitchison College, Dilawar Syed came to the United States to pursue higher studies.

Dilawar Syed expressed happiness over his nomination for this important post in the White House and said that he would try his best to perform his duties.
During an interview with local Media he said, “I’m deeply humbled & honored by President Biden’s nomination of me to help lead at SBA as the Deputy Administrator. I am strongly hoping I will be confirmed by the US Senate. I will put my heart & soul into helping small businesses everywhere in these challenging times.”

Currently Mr. Dilawar Syed is the president and CEO of Lumiata, a healthcare company that provides the best results to patients at the lowest cost of health and care. Dilawar Syed is also head of the California Entrepreneurship Task Force since 2019, which is supported by the California Government.
Dilawar Syed has also been the president of Fresh Works, where he has helped thousands of small and medium-sized businesses measure software company's products.
Before the Biden Administration he served on President Obama’s White House Commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPIs) and chaired the White House Initiative on AAPIs’ Economic Growth Committee.
Dilawar holds an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and earned bachelor’s in computer science and Economics from the University of Texas at Austin.
