DP Healthy Community Partnership Donates to Maine Township Food Pantry

As one of the regular supporters, the Des Plaines Healthy Community Partnership has again stepped up.

Rosemary Argus, left, from the Des Plaines Healthy Community Partnership recently presented a check for $2500 to Carol A. Teschky, Supervisor of Maine Township, for the Township’s Emergency Food Pantry.

The donation will help pay for food to be purchased to supplement voluntary donations from local churches, schools, civic organizations, scout troops and others throughout the year. Looking on is Dick Sayad, 4th Ward Alderman in Des Plaines.

For information about donating food or questions about the pantry operation, call 847-297-2510. Pick-ups can also be arranged.
